Motorists lose control on the A1 in Lenzburg and break through the wildlife fence

A 27-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle on Sunday and broke through the wildlife fence on the A1 motorway. He was slightly injured.

The accident happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. on the A1 motorway in the direction of Bern – near Lenzburg.

On Sunday, shortly after 11.30 a.m., a 27-year-old driver drove on the A1 motorway in the direction of Bern. According to the police report, he lost control of his vehicle at Lenzburg for reasons that are still unknown and left the roadway. He then broke through a wildlife fence and finally came to a standstill in the adjacent bushes.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. It is still unclear how the accident could have happened. The cantonal police in Aargau have started investigations. The public prosecutor’s office opened a criminal investigation and ordered a blood and urine sample. The driver had to hand in his driver’s license on the spot. (phh)
