Despite the almost apocalyptic images, Thalys trains full of tourists still travel to Paris. But is that a good idea when the City of Light is literally on fire? Can you visit the Louvre, have a nice coffee in Montmartre and can you get everywhere by metro? We asked two Flemings for whom Paris is a second home. “In some quarters, the garbage is collected by a private company, in others by the municipality. One strikes, the other does not.”
