The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) released the weekly report of the coronavirus in Uruguay, which indicates that between November 20 and 26, 988 new cases of covid were registered. The previous report had marked that 852 cases had been registered in a week.

In addition, the document indicates that during the week there were seven deaths of patients diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2, when a death was recorded in the previous report. In this way, the total number of deaths since the health emergency was decreed reaches 7,537. The total number of covid-19 cases in Uruguay since the health emergency began is 993,875.

Between November 20 and 26, 12,334 tests were carried out – the previous week 12,257 were carried out – and the percentage of positive cases was 8%. In the previous measurement, the figure had been 6.9%.

According to the MSP report, the percentage of occupied ITC beds as of November 26 was 49.6%. Of them, due to covid there was 1%, while last week it was 1.2%.
