The municipal office is allowed to move: the vacant fire station is used as an office
The residents of Waltenschwil approved a loan of CHF 2.475 million for the renovation and expansion of the community center. Among other things, the former fire station is to be converted into workplaces for the law firm.
The Waltenschwil voters have decided: Municipal clerk Frank Koch will work in the basement in the future. That pleases both him and the other employees of the municipal administration.
Because with the clear yes at the community, the sovereign agreed that the community center can be renovated and expanded.
For this they spoke on Wednesday a commitment credit of 2.475 million Swiss francs. With part of the money, the former fire station under the community center can be converted into offices.
Supplementary application: soccer field should be renovated
This is urgently needed because the municipal office is bursting at the seams, Ammann Simon Zubler said at an information event in the run-up to the municipality.
The loan was approved by 99 of the 2,089 residents present with zero dissenting votes. Just like all the other four agenda items, for example the 2023 budget, as Frank Koch reports. With all applications there were only inquiries and small discussions.
“Under Miscellaneous, someone submitted the request that a report or a loan for the renovation of the football field be put on the agenda for the next municipality,” says Koch. This was approved with 93 yes to 33 no.
