The police have launched a murder case following the death of a man in Limavady.
23-year-old Darren McGurk was attacked Wednesday in a house in Glenburg Walk.
He suffered a severe head injury and was taken to the hospital where he died Sunday morning.
On Friday, police arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the robbery.
He was then charged with assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The police said that after Darren's death, the same man was further arrested and charged with his murder.
He is due Monday in front of the Coleraine Magistrates & # 39; Court for murder offenses and the attempt to pervert the legal process.
Detectives said they want to assemble the movements of Darren McGurk in the hours before his death.
A spokesman said, "Were you in contact with Darren over text or phone? Did you see him that day? Was he with someone? Were you in the Glenbeg Walk at the time of the attack? Did you hear or see anything unusual?
"I would also like to speak to anyone who knows Darren and may have tried to contact him at 4:20 am between Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21, including any attempts to phone Darren or via to contact social contacts media.
"I want to get an accurate picture of the events on Wednesday night so that Darren's family knows exactly what happened to their loved one."
