Scientists of the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology named the most dangerous diseases that can develop as a result of the body's rejection of the color pigments used in applying the tattoo. The results of the study are published in the article "Observation of the formation of red flat lichen on the spot of a tattoo". According to the expert in laser technologies in cosmetology Vitaly Mikryukov, the allergic reaction is most often due to the red pigment. To obtain this color, a pinkish-red mercury mineral is used for cinnabar: it provokes irritation. Dermatovenerologist Elena Kovtunova told about another common problem – Staphylococcus aureus. This infection develops if the owner of a fresh tattoo does not take care of her properly, and the healing process is accompanied by a purulent inflammation. "Scientists have done a lot of research – analyzed 124 scientific works from 30 countries – and found a direct connection between the amount of tattoos on the human body and the development of hepatitis C. People with tattoos, especially if covered with large areas of the body, are at increased risk of infection with hepatitis," – she also warned. In addition, the expert recommended avoiding tattoos on the skin area with moles. "Often, patients come to me who ask me to remove moles where they want to make a tattoo. Do not apply the tattoo to the place where there is a birthmark. Because it can turn into melanoma, "Kovtunova explained. In March, a Briton of Russian descent covered 90 percent of the body with tattoos and said that it was not enough for him. 32-year-old Adam Curlykale made his first tattoo – a small inscription I am – 12 years ago, after he was cured of cancer.
