Nantes – Violent protests by antifas against the arrival of Eric Zemmour

About 500 people gathered to denounce the arrival of Eric Zemmour in Nantes, Saturday, October 30. The protests gave rise to clashes with the police.

The Nantes antifas were not delighted to see Eric Zemmour land in their city on Saturday, October 30 … While the probable candidate for the 2022 presidential election was preparing to speak at the Zénith, in front of an audience of 2,000 people acquired because of its cause, clashes took place outside.

Several calls to demonstrate had been launched by various extreme left groups, under the Nantes Révoltée banner. Counting nearly 200 people at 3 p.m., then nearly 500 a little later, the gatherings gave rise to clashes, in particular with the police around 4 p.m.

Video shows a hooded man hitting a police vehicle multiple times with a shopping cart, while others do the same in the background or hurl projectiles. Events which prompted the police to fire several tear gas.

It was then around 5 p.m., that the far-right polemicist presented himself in front of an audience that had come in large numbers to welcome him. While outside we chanted “Zemmour to death”, the latter did not fail to respond to the anti-fascists he described as “little ignorant children of Stalin”.
