Surely it’s easy for you to recognize in a world map where is Mexico, perhaps if you do not succeed due to its location if you will identify it for the unique shape of our country; however a new e amazing photograph taken by NASA shows that the Mexican territory looks very different than we thought from outer space, but it looks as beautiful as we know it.

The beautiful image was captured by a astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS) with a short focus camera that managed to take almost the entire country in a single photo.

“The image shows the mountain ranges and the long coasts of the country. You also see some of its volcanoes and you can distinguish the different climatic zones,” the space agency announced on Twitter.

In addition to the geographical features, in the photo it is also easy to identify some of the most important cities in the country such as Mexico City, as well as the Popocatépetl, Colima and Pico de Orizaba volcanoes.

Although it is not the first image that NASA captures of Mexico, it does give a new perspective of how the country really looks from outer space and how it has changed in territory and climate over time.
