On the sidelines of the 4th session of the Morocco-Burkina Faso Mixed Commission, Mr. Nasser Bourita met, today in Dakhla, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè from outside Burkina Faso, Ms. Olivia Ragnaghnèwendé Rouamba.

Burkina Faso hailed, on this occasion, the constant efforts made by Morocco, under the wise and enlightened leadership of HM the King, in favor of peace and development in Africa.

“The Burkinabè side hailed the constant efforts made by Morocco, under the wise and enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of peace and development in Africa”, reads the Joint Communiqué sanctioning the work. of the fourth Session of the Joint Cooperation Commission, held in Dakhla, under the co-chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita and his Burkinabe counterpart, Olivia Ragnaghnewendé Rouamba .

The two ministers stressed, in this regard, that the Kingdom of Morocco and Burkina Faso share a common desire to contribute to the preservation of peace and stability on the African continent in general, and in the Sahel region, in particular. .

They also noted, with satisfaction, their convergence of views on the various issues raised and reiterated their determination to participate in efforts to settle disputes in Africa.

The two parties reaffirmed the commitment of their Heads of State to work together for the search for lasting peace and economic development on the African continent, particularly in the context of the implementation of the Free Zone African Continental Exchange (ZLECAF).

For his part, Mr. Bourita expressed Morocco’s full solidarity with Burkina Faso in its tireless efforts to fight against the scourge of terrorism and violent extremism, stressing that Burkina Faso will always find in Morocco a partner who is constantly committed to promoting and supporting its initiatives for stability and development.

For her part, Ms. Rouamba thanked Morocco for this solidarity and support for Burkina Faso, which is facing security and humanitarian challenges.

On another note, the two parties welcomed the effective coordination of their actions and their mutual support, in continental and international bodies, and undertook to multiply consultations with a view to the convergence of their positions.

They expressed their mutual satisfaction for the unconditional support that each has always given to the other in the various continental and international bodies.

To this end, the two parties have agreed to continue to support, in a concerted and mutual manner, the Moroccan and Burkinabè candidacies at the level of these bodies.
