When it set up shop in Porto, in 2017, Natixis aimed to recruit 600 people, but behold, what is the second largest innovation center of the French bank already employs more than 1,500 professionals, mostly technological talent, from two dozen nationalities.
And continues to recruit. This Monday, May 16, it announced that it has more than 200 vacancies for paid professional internships in its office in the center of Porto, starting next September.
An action that takes place within the scope of the third edition of the Natixis “trainee” recruitment program, aimed at young people eligible for internships at the Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional (IEFP), with courses in the areas of Engineering and Information Technology, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, International Relations, Law, Human Resources and Communication and Marketing.
“Our project in Porto continues to grow and we are increasingly committed to investing in young talent, in areas from Information Technology and Banking to Human Resources”, begins by emphasizing Maurício Marques, director of Human Resources at Natixis in Portugal, in a statement.
“At Natixis, recent graduates will find a training experience that is close to and tailored to their ambition, so that they can learn as much as possible about the various areas and projects that we develop in our Center of Excellence in Porto and have a career perspective in the long term”, emphasizes Maurício Marques, guaranteeing that, in the last two years, 90% of the interns stayed in the company with a permanent contract, after the internship.
“We believe, therefore, that this is an opportunity and the right moment for these young people to take the first step in their careers, having a first experience in a company that privileges learning and cooperation, in a fast-developing environment that combines new to a unique work culture”, concludes the same manager.
Natixis advances that, this year, the trainee recruitment program has 200 vacancies for recent graduates for positions in software development, IT systems administration, cybersecurity, risk management, International Trade Law, capital and “banking finance”, “which work daily with teams from all over the world, from New York to Hong Kong”, emphasizes the banking institution, adding that “it also has positions for the retraining of young professionals from other academic areas, who wish to make a career in the world of technological banking.
Natixis Purple Tour of Northern Universities
The French bank’s recruitment campaign for its center of excellence in Porto will be accompanied by the Natixis Purple Tour, with scheduled stops at universities in the north of the country, including the University of Minho, the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, the Universidade Portucalense and the University of Porto, between the 25th and 31st of May.
“Inside the bus, students will be invited to know the open positions and clarify their doubts with the Natixis team in Portugal”, says the bank of French origin.
“The initiative will culminate in free late-afternoon networking events” at these universities, with participants being able to enjoy a guided tour of Natixis’ offices in Portugal.
“In these moments, students will have the opportunity to experience an informal moment with the company’s teams, ambassadors and recruiters”, he concludes.
