The Boston Celtics, decimated by injuries, beat the Memphis Grizzlies this Sunday in Boston (119-109) in a very close game in which the three-pointers were decisive: 21 from the locals against 12 from the visitors.
Celtics (41-16) thus achieve a 4-game winning streak by beating the Grizzlies (34-22).
For the locals, Derrick White had a double double of 23 points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists, while Robert Williams III scored another double double of 10 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal.
Six other Celtics had 10 or more points: Sam Hauser (20), Al Horford (16 points and 9 rebounds), Jayson Tatum (16), Payton Prichard (12), Grant Williams (10) and Mike Muscala (10). .
For the visitors, Ja Morant scored 25 points and had 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Desmond Bane had 18 points, Jaren Jackson Jr 15, Brandon Clarke 14 and Dillon Brooks 11.
The Spanish Santi Aldama played 27.30 minutes for 9 points, 7 rebounds, one assist, one steal and 2 blocks.
Boston did not count due to injuries to some of its usual starters such as Jaylen Brown, Malcolm Brogdon and Marcus Smart as well as Italian Danilo Gallinari.
For its part, Memphis had Jake LaRavia, New Zealander Steven Adams, Kenneth Lofton Jr., Ziaire Williams and David Roddy out.
