Neil Lennon confirms Desmond talks after the semi-final

NEIL LENNON has spoken after his team had comprehensively defeated Aberdeen to reach the Scottish Cup final.

The Irishman was in a good mood after seeing how this Celtic team spent its most impressive 90 minutes since returning to the role. The Bhoys had won 3-0. Aberdeen used archaic tactics to try and compete.

The interim manager was under intense pressure before today's game, and many speculated that if he lost the game, he would have no chance of a permanent Celtic place.

However, Neil Lennon also announced that he spoke to Dermot Desmond, who assured the former Celtic captain that he had never resorted to another manager.

A number of names have been mentioned for the vacant position, but it seems Dermot will give Neil Lennon the reign if he wins the Scottish Cup
