New 2022 National Education Day is Commemorated May 13 Today, Here’s The Reason

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – National Education Day 2022 is celebrated on May 13, 2022 today.

Usually, National Education Day (Hardiknas) is celebrated on May 2 every year.

Commemorated on May 2, as regulated in Presidential Decree No. 316/1959, that May 2 is designated as National Education Day.

So why did the National Education Day commemoration change this year?

The change in the timing of the National Education Day commemoration is because on May 2, 2022 it coincides with Eid al-Fitr 1443 H, which is a national holiday.

In the guidelines for Commemorating National Education Day issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, the National Education Day ceremony will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 08.00 WIB.

As for the implementation of the ceremony, areas with PPKM Level 1 and 2 are allowed to hold a flag ceremony in a face-to-face, limited, and minimalist manner.

The ceremony must also implement health protocols in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 that has been determined by the government without reducing the meaning, spirit and solemnity of the event.

Meanwhile, for PPKM Level 3 areas, it is recommended to take part in the flag ceremony through a live broadcast on the Youtube channel of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and the Education TV channel from the office or from home.
