Difficulty level adjustment, immersion and respect for the original
Ubisoft representatives gave an interview to The Mako Reactor and during the conversation talked about the remake of Prince of Percia: The Sands of Time, on which the Indian division of the company is working.
The PC version of the port will have game settings similar to those found in other major Ubisoft products. Support for 4K resolution is also promised.
In the remake, you can adjust the difficulty level. It is worth noting that this was not possible in the original version of the game. The developers want all players to enjoy the prince’s adventures, so the combat system has been changed and modernized. One of the company representatives, Pierre Sylvain-Gir, noted that the development team is good at creating new acrobatic movements.
The producer noted that work on the game is immersive. Camera movement reflects the dynamics of the gameplay and ensures smooth transitions between combat, parkour and other game elements, including time manipulation. In interviews, it was stressed several times that this is a remake that pays homage to the classics, but at the same time adds to it what is needed in a modern product.
The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake will premiere on January 21, 2021 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Backward compatibility allows the game to run on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
