Newcastle United's Double Agreement is developing positively as Miguel Almiron and Antonio Barreca visit St James's Park

The Newcastle United recruitment offensive in January went smoothly after the club had played for MLS star Miguel Almiron and left-back Atonio Barreca from Monaco.

According to Toon sources, both deals are progressing positively after the duo had its meds on Wednesday afternoon.

The players visited both the St James's Park and the club's Benton headquarters and met Rafa Benitez for the first time.

However, it is assumed that the deadline for the Magpies could still be exhausting, with talks on Andreas Samaris from Benfica.

This deal may depend on Isaac Hayden traveling to either Aston Villa or West Bromwich Albion, and the Baggies also want to sign Jacob Murphy on loan.

A pronounced agreement, which was also agreed in principle, is the loan exit of Cal Roberts to the EFL team Colchester United. The winger will sign a brief deal with the team at the JobServe Community Stadium on the deadline.

But Achraf Lazaar is still sweating on a loan transfer to Cagliari Serie A, who expressed his interest in signing him until the end of the season.

United fans hope they celebrate the club's record transfer on the final day.
