RCF was created in 1982, at the initiative of the Archbishop of Lyon, Monsignor Decourtray, and Father Emmanuel Payen. From the outset, RCF had the ambition to spread a message of hope and to offer a Christian reading of society and current events to as many people as possible. With 600,000 listeners every day, RCF now has 64 local radio stations and 270 frequencies in France and Belgium. These 64 community radio stations recognized as being of general interest live mainly on donations from their listeners. Information, culture, spirituality, daily life: RCF offers a general public, generalist, local program. The RCF network has 300 employees and 3,000 volunteers. Find out more
