The club will have to pay a penalty of 259,000 euros and Aaron Rodgers 17,000 euros
Green Bay Packers quarterback and wide receiver Allen Lazard attended a Halloween party without being vaccinated
Rodgers has been out of the team for ten days after testing positive for covid
The NFL announced this Tuesday a penalty of $ 300,000 (more than 259,000 euros) for the Green Bay Packers and 14,650 (about 17,000 euros) for their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and receiver Allen Lazard for violations of league coronavirus protocols and the Players Association.
They attended a Halloween party without being vaccinated
As noted by the NFL on its website, Rodgers and Lazard’s fines are for attending a Halloween party with the approval of their teams even though neither of them is vaccinated against the coronavirus, so they are prohibited from attending any event outside the franchise premises. The punishment to the Packers is produced by their absence of any type of sanction for both.
The NFL also announced that it was conducting a review of the application of the covid-19 protocol by Green Bay after Rodgers tested positive for the virus last week. The ‘quarterback’ has been out of the team for ten days and already missed the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and his presence this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks is not assured.
