Nintendo Switch: Update 5.0.2 fixes motion control issues and more

Nintendo Switch: Update 5.0.2 fixes motion control issues and more

17.04.2018 at 11:01 Nintendo has updated the firmware of the Nintendo Switch. The update 5.0.2 brings the usual optimizations to the system stability, but addresses this time also two more concrete points. So there was apparently a problem with the motion controls of the switch controller, which should now be fixed. Furthermore, Nintendo wants to have taken care of incorrectly displayed user icons.

Nintendo has a new firmware update for his hybrid console Nintendo Switch ( buy now for 290,00 € ) released. We are not looking forward to extensive innovations, and the patch notes are relatively scarce, as is often the case: Once again, the manufacturer describes the changes as “improvements in general system stability” – a formulation that has long since become a running gag on the Internet. At least a little more concrete Nintendo but this time: So the company wants to have an unspecified problem with Motion Controls fixed, which sometimes reacted wrongly in certain games. Furthermore, Nintendo has fixed an error with the firmware update in connection with user icons, the “recommended friends” did not appear properly displayed.

As usual, the new firmware update 5.0.2 should also be downloaded automatically when the console is connected to the internet. If you are unsure whether the operating system is up to date, you can also try a manual update via the system menu. The update follows just weeks after Firmware update 5.0.1 that had made further optimizations.
