Fernandes Bakery is still struggling with a shortage of baker’s flour. The extra flour imports from the supplier have slowed down somewhat due to a combination of circumstances.
The consequence of the delay is that the bakery will not be able to supply the market in Suriname with bread and pastry products in the coming days.
On September 14, Fernandes announced that the availability of bulbs and wheat bread would be limited for the next two weeks, due to an interruption in the supply of baker’s flour from the supplier. Apparently it’s all over now.
“We are aware of our social responsibility towards the community. Together with the flour supplier, we are working on the standardization of the flour supply in order to be able to provide you with our full range again in the short term,” according to the company.
