Affected in 2020 and 2021 by the pandemic, the famous festival found very good attendance this year, with 153,000 visitors.
As the Nuits de Fourvière 2022 are coming to an end, it’s time to take stock and the organizers are pleased, who announce good attendance and a balanced budget.
In total, the festival welcomed 153,000 spectators, 16,000 of whom took advantage of the free events. This is less than in 2019, a record year with 192,000 visitors, but it is twice as many as in 2021 when the event only attracted 76,000 spectators, and more than in 2018, when it welcomed 150,000.
Of the 178 performances that marked the festivities, 13 were creations and 7 co-productions and French premieres. 50 concerned circus, 71 theater, 11 dance and 46 music. The shows took place in 8 different places in the Metropolis of Lyon.
