OFFICIAL: Damian Szymański stays in Greece. AEK Athens bought a Pole

Damian Szymański was bought out by AEK Atena.

The 25-year-old midfielder came to Greece in January on a loan basis. Since then, he has played 16 matches in the jersey of the team from Athens. Now AEK decided to buy it out and thus Szymański finally said goodbye to Achmat Grozny. According to earlier media reports, the Greeks will pay a million euros for him.

Szymański initialed a contract valid until June 30, 2024.

A four-time Polish representative has been associated with Achmat since the beginning of 2019, when he moved to Russia from Wisła Płock. In his colors he managed to record 13 appearances. In the autumn round of the 2019/2020 season, he ran out to grass only four times.

Games in Greece resumed at the beginning of June. AEK competes in the championship group. Currently ranks third in it. If he maintains his position, he will play in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
