Once again, “The Simpsons” proved prophetic and predicted Richard Branson’s journey into space. The billionaire’s adventure was predicted by the series on March 23, 2014, in the 15th episode of the 25th season.

In the episode “The Art of War”, the founder of Virgin Galactic appears aboard a spaceship while enjoying a work of art created by Klaus Ziegler, a character who had the voice of Max von Sydow.

Six people, including businessman Richard Branson, made their first trip to space on July 11 aboard the VSS Unity plane, which successfully took off and landed from SpacePort America, in the desert of New Mexico, in the United States.

After an hour and a half of delay due to weather conditions, the Virgin space plane took off at around 8:40 am (3:40 pm in Lisbon), with five airline employees and its founder, British businessman and philanthropist Richard Branson.
