One third of vodka on the Russian market turned out to be illegal
In 2018, almost a third of the vodka that the controlling agency checked was sold illegally

Almost a third of vodka, tested in 2018 by the Federal Service for the Regulation of the Alcohol Market (Rosalkogolregulirovanie), was in illegal circulation, the department reported.
In total, from January to December, experts checked 118 thousand dal of vodka. 36.3 thousand dal (30.8%) of them turned out to be in illegal circulation.
In total, in 2018, the department conducted 6 thousand inspections. 3.74 thousand organizations engaged in the production and sale of alcoholic beverages were checked, follows from the annual report.
In total, during these inspections over 2 billion dal of alcoholic beverages were tested, of which more than 806 million dal were produced or were illegally traded. 525 million dal products were confiscated by the court, and 625 million dal products were arrested.
