A cheaper activity tracker from OnePlus is on the way. The Nord Watch will not be unveiled until September 28, but the specifications have already been announced.

OnePlus will launch an activity tracker in its Nord line for the first time on Wednesday. The company has been launching affordable smartphones and earphones in this line for years. The Nord Watch should complete the range for the youthful sub-brand. Earlier this week, renders for the upcoming watch appeared via 91Mobiles – it appeared that the activity tracker will have a rectangular screen, with only one button on the right side. The renders also confirmed that the Nord Watch will be launched in two colors, black and blue. OnePlus will add further details this time.

On a mini site for the Indian public, OnePlus reveals that the Nord Watch will have a 1.78-inch AMOLED screen, with a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The resolution is 368 x 448 pixels. You will soon see the digital watch face on the screen. According to the minisite, users can choose from more than 100 watch faces. Of course, the screen also keeps you up-to-date about your sports activities. The activity tracker can track sports activities according to 105, the company writes on the mini site.

Earlier rumors showed that the smartwatch will have a battery life of up to 10 days. That rumor is confirmed on OnePlus’ Nord Watch promotion page. For this you have to hand in a lot of functions that are available on WearOS watches – such as the possibility to install apps from the Play Store, or the Assistant voice control. In addition, watches with OnePlus’ RTOS do not work with iOS devices.

European introduction

Nord will launch its Watch in the Indian market on September 28. No details are yet known about a European introduction of the activity tracker. It is therefore unknown whether and when the Watch will visit Belgium and the Netherlands. If it is released here, the company will suddenly have competition from its own home. After all, the OnePlus Watch offers similar functions. It is expected that the Nord Watch will be cheaper than the OnePlus Watch, which costs 159 euros in Belgium.
