At the open-air cinema in Schmidheinypark, a wide variety of cinematic delicacies will be shown between Wednesday, July 13th and Saturday, July 23rd: Whether it’s blockbusters, comedies, Swiss films or family films – there’s something for every taste.

“Film am Markt Heerbrugg” is organized by the Madlen cinema theater in cooperation with the political community of Au, the local community of Au and the St.Galler Kantonalbank. The team again shows the films on an inflatable screen.

A new, even more powerful projector will ensure that the large format image will be even sharper and more brilliant than in previous years. The viewer can take a seat in a comfortable deck chair or experience a unique film experience in an exclusive beach chair for two people.

Anticipation for eleven crowd pullers

Each of the eleven planned films is a crowd puller. In fact, this year’s program is exceptional. The reason for this is a backlog of films that has built up during the pandemic. Now the «saved up» cinema hits and blockbusters are constantly appearing.

On Wednesday, July 13, the open-air cinema starts with “Top Gun: Maverick”. Tom Cruise still fascinates in this leading role. The “Madlen” also got hold of various premieres for the “Film am Markt”.

With “The Gray Man” (Friday, July 15), an action highlight with Ryan Gosling could be booked. “Monsieur Claude and his big party” (Saturday, July 16) will even be shown five days before the official cinema release in Heerbrugg. Salutes are guaranteed.

It’s just as fun with “Minions: In Search of the Miniboss” (Sunday, July 17th). The long-awaited family film promises another enjoyable evening. On Thursday, July 21, “Luchsinger und die Götter” is the premiere of a new Swiss production.

The rest of the program also announces a real cinema feeling. Whether Elyas M’Barek in “Liebesdings” (Tuesday, July 19), the magical comedy “Luck on a scale of 1 – 10” (Wednesday, July 20), the adventure comedy “Dog: Fortune has four paws » (Monday, July 18) with Channing Tatum, «Elvis» (Friday, July 22) or the last «James Bond» strip «No Time to Die» (Saturday, July 23) – all these films are real Delicacies and prepare anticipation for eleven enjoyable film evenings in the open air.
