Monday, February 6, 2023

The Latin American Film Week is non-competitive and will take place for seven consecutive days at the San Martín Cultural Center (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires) from July 11 to 16, 2023. The program will be made up of around 30 audiovisual productions.

The selected works will be able to participate in a meeting with exhibitors and programmers to extend their tour. They will also have the possibility of being screened in the Itinerant Cycle that is held annually: in 2018 the exhibition was in Florianópolis (Brazil); in 2019 in La Paz (Bolivia) and in 2020 it was in Asunción (Paraguay). In 2023 it will be in Paris.

The sections are: International Short Film Festival, International Medium Film Festival and International Feature Film Festival.

“We seek to promote independent Latin American cinema, create a meeting space between producers and directors and the public, articulating the functions with conversations that enrich the understanding of the films. In this way, we promote the formation of an audience that understands the codes of audiovisual language of Latin American authors”They say from the organization.

“On the other hand -add-, our interest is to strengthen the industrial profile of our event year after year following two axes that seem very important to us: the exhibition and the press. We invite leaders from different Latin American countries to the forum in order to share experiences and seek joint growth.”
