The first thing we notice about the OPPO Find N2 Flip is its design. The smartphone screen is folded down. This is more than just a nostalgic taste. Folding the screen down reduces the total space of the smartphone. This means that we can easily carry the phone in our pockets. The second feature that turned our heads is the huge cover screen on the OPPO Find N2 Flip. Think of it as a small window on the phone itself. You can quickly glance at your notifications and even interact with some apps on the cover screen. In fact, it’s the largest cover screen currently available on any foldable phone. It measures 3.26 inches, with an aspect ratio of 17:9 and a peak brightness of 900nits. It also features Edge to Edge Glass on the glass between the frame and cover screen for a bezel-less experience, which is a real eye-catcher if you ask us. It should also be noted that the Cover Screen features an always-on display. So, we can quickly see the time, date, battery level, and other notifications with just a glance.
This larger size also gives us more flexibility when it comes to interacting with apps on the screen. It can display up to six notifications, thus reducing unnecessary scrolling. We can also reply to messages directly from the cover screen via built-in custom phrases. Another benefit is that we can also switch settings across a single screen without having to swipe. Moreover, we were able to access payment applications directly from the cover screen. Just what you need to make payments to sellers fast and be on your way.
Of course, the cover screen is fully customizable with messages and stickers. There are also neat little touches like an interactive pet live wallpaper. If you just want to have a good laugh, you also have the option to set up a cover screen to display your favorite reaction GIF!
Main screen: flexible magic
With such a good display, let’s not forget that OPPO Find N2 Flip also has a main screen. And what a show. We were blown away by the huge 6.8 inch AMOLED display with a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio. This makes it great for watching movies or consuming multimedia content. On top of that, you also get a 120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate that keeps things smooth!
OPPO engineers have also put a lot of thought into the screen to make it easier to read. It provides a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
