A man was stabbed Monday evening around 11 p.m. in Pantin. He would be, according to a police source, between 40 and 45 years old. The victim did not survive his injuries and died on the spot, rue Toffier-Decaux. An investigation has been opened for “voluntary homicide”, specifies the parquet floor of Bobigny. She was entrusted to the criminal brigade of the regional direction of the judicial police (DRPJ) of Paris.

The man was injured “with a knife, in the thorax”, continues the prosecution. A mortal wound would have been noted. According to the first elements of the investigation, a witness, who was near the scene, called for help when he saw a man collapse on the ground. The Samu arrived quickly on the scene, “a cardiac massage was provided by the firefighters”, confides a police source, but the victim could not be resuscitated.

“The attacker fled on foot”

The victim “is not, for the moment, not formally identified, indicates the parquet floor. He had no identity papers or cell phone on him. This is confirmed by a source close to the investigation: “A doubt persists about the identity with several possible names. This man would come from the Indian community. His prints didn’t match the police files.

The police made the first observations. “The attacker fled on foot,” according to the prosecution. He is “actively wanted”, adds a police source. The investigation will determine the causes and circumstances of this fatal attack.

For the time being, a man has been placed in police custody, in particular to find out more about the identity of the deceased and to contextualize the facts. “This was a priori in the company of the victim a few hours before the facts,” says the prosecution. The investigation is continuing. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
