Each year is held on February 9 the rekindling of the flame at the Arc de Triomphe, this ceremony is reserved for cities awarded the Resistance.
Gérard Gronfier represented all the medal-winning cities and was accompanied by a young flag bearer from the Youth Municipal Council, Amir Amrane, Paul Rhéty, President of the Legion of Honor and Jean-Paul Mollard, new President of the French Remembrance . This ceremony was chaired by two generals including General Batiste, delegate of the Order of the Liberation.
