JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Secretary General of the PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto, repeatedly launched ‘attacks’ at the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan. Starting from criticizing performance, to comparing with PDI-P cadres who were Anies’ predecessors.
At least, there were 3 times when Hasto made sharp criticisms of Anies. PDI-P, which is the opposition party in DKI Jakarta, has often criticized Anies’ work so far.
Hasto compared Anies’ work with that of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who became the Governor of DKI Jakarta in 2012-2014.
He also assessed that Anies’ work was not as good as Jokowi’s successors, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and Djarot Saiful Hidayat. Both Jokowi, Ahok, and Djarot were PDI-P cadres who were leaders of the capital before Anies.

In addition, Hasto revealed that the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono was annoyed because it was difficult to work with Anies in dealing with floods.
Recently, Hasto called Anies a leader who doesn’t want to take care of the entire Jakarta area.
Flood management critique
Last year, Hasto Kristiyanto assessed that Anies Baswedan had not handled the flood problem in Jakarta. As a result, flooding in Jakarta is getting worse.
“I can feel how difficult it is for Jakarta residents who are often affected by floods. If I criticize Pak Anies, it is because it is the leadership’s responsibility to anticipate floods,” said Hasto as quoted from Kompas.TV, Saturday (29/1/2022)
This was conveyed by Hasto during the Greening and Clean-Up Watershed (DAS) Movement Program, Cinta Ciliwung Bersih, at the Ring Reservoir, North Jakarta, on February 21, 2021.
Hasto also said that PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono was angry because of Anies’ attitude, which he considered unable to cooperate in dealing with the Jakarta floods.

“Pak Basuki, the Minister of Public Works is even angry because of how difficult it is to work with the Jakarta leader,” he said.
He then satirized Anies’ way of dealing with floods. Because during the 2017 DKI Pilgub campaign, Anies had stated that the handling of Jakarta floods must be done by ensuring that water seeps into the ground, not draining water into the sea.
“When it comes to flooding in Jakarta, it is because of the wrong assumption that the water will enter the earth,” said Hasto.
Hasto assessed that the current lack of flood management in Jakarta is due to management, spatial planning, and the courage of leaders in making decisions.

Far below Jokowi-Ahok-Djarot
Hasto Kristiyanto assessed that Anies Baswedan’s leadership was far below that of Jokowi, Ahok, and Djarot when he was governor of DKI.
As a result, now Jakarta’s progress is not what it was when the three PDI-P cadres led the capital.
“Because practically the progress in the last few years is still far below the progress when DKI was led by Pak Jokowi, Pak Ahok, and Pak Djarot,” said Hasto in his statement, Thursday (6/1/2022).

Hasto talked about this when he revealed the PDI-P’s efforts to draft ideas about the future of DKI. The aim is to accelerate development in DKI Jakarta.
Although PDI-P has not yet decided on the name of the candidate to be carried in the 2024 DKI Pilkada, Hasto had revealed several candidates who were on his party’s radar to replace Anies as DKI Governor.
“There is also Anas (Abdullah Azwar Anas) from Banyuwangi (former Regent of Banyuwangi), Hendi (Hendrar Prihadi) from Semarang (Mayor of Semarang), then Pak Kanang (Budi Kanang Sulistyono) from Ngawi Regency (former Regent of Ngawi),” said Hasto. when met at the PDI-P Party School, Friday (7/1/2022).

In addition to these names, Hasto mentioned the figures of the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, who had served as Mayor of Surabaya for two terms.
“Bu Risma in leadership for 2 periods in the city of Surabaya was able to show significant changes. Changes in culture so that the people of Surabaya we see now take good care of the environment,” said Hasto.
As for Gibran, Hasto said that Jokowi’s eldest son still had to prove his ideological leadership and put forward the culture of the archipelago so that PDI-P could consider it as a cagub for DKI.
Relaxed leader
When talking about the development of DKI Jakarta, Hasto Kristiyanto assessed that Anies only focused on working on things that were in the heart of the capital city.
According to him, Anies prioritizes development in the city center, such as Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin. Anies is also said to not want to see the conditions on the outskirts of Jakarta.
“Things that are on the outskirts of Jakarta do not get a touch that brings systemic change for regional progress,” said Hasto while attending a tree planting activity at Lake Kampung Bintaro, Jakarta, Saturday (29/1/2022).
Hasto again compared Anies with Jokowi, Ahok, and Djarot. He said Anies did not want to continue the superior policies of his three predecessors, even though the programs in question had many benefits for Jakarta.

For example, the construction of parks, lake maintenance, to the provision of rivers. Hasto also criticized Anies for not paying close attention to urban planning, as seen in the Tanah Abang area.
Anies is considered missing in various aspects. As a result, much of the progress in the Jokowi, Ahok, and Djarot eras has now been neglected.
“In cleaning the river, which was pioneered by Pak Jokowi and Pak Ahok who spectacularly changed the Ria Rio Reservoir, now we can see (what it looks like) there,” he said.
Hasto also highlighted the existence of an excavator belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which rarely operates to dredge the flow of water in Jakarta.

Even though the excavators in the Jokowi and Ahok era, he said, everything worked. This means that the cleaning program is working optimally to ensure the flow in Jakarta runs well.
“The community must be the supervisor so that the program can be run properly,” said Hasto.
Hasto then mentioned how Jokowi, Ahok, and Djarot succeeded in changing the organizational culture in the DKI Provincial Government so that the existing bureaucracy could run in one breath from the governor level to the officers in the field.
He then quipped Anies who worked casually, and only relied on his subordinates to work.
“So the leader cannot relax, his job is to ask those under him to work,” concluded Hasto.
