The Cofrada del Apstol Santiago was founded within the Association of Former Students of the Colegio de Santiago Apstol on December 30, 1947, processioning for the first time on Holy Thursday, 1948.
Since the school disappeared, the brotherhood moved to the Parish of San José de la Montaa. Since 1951, it has been added to the Universal Archofrade of the Glorious Apostle Santiago, in Compostela.
