Perisic is moving to Tottenham

LONDON.- Croatian footballer Ivan Perišić will join Tottenham in free agency, the Premier League club said on Tuesday.

Perišić, 33, will join the London outfit on a two-year deal after Miran’s contract with Inter expires at the end of June.

Perišić previously worked with Tottenham manager Antonio Conte at Inter. They won the Serie title together in the 2020–21 season, but Perišić turned down a new deal with the Italian club.

The Croatian international has won titles in Germany – with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich – and in Italy. He scored in the 2018 World Cup final that Croatia lost 4-2 to France.

His versatility will be of interest to Conte, who used him as a left back at Inter, but he can also play as a winger, second striker or attacking midfielder.

This deal is the start of what is expected to be a busy summer for Tottenham on the transfer market as the club tries to build a team that Conte believes is capable of facing the Champions League and the Premier League.
