Mārtiņš Čakste is the chairman of the board of the state-owned energy company “Latvenergo”, who, as he says himself, likes to challenge himself by taking on difficult tasks. He is a doctor of sciences with a specialization in logistics and economics.
In a conversation with “Delfi Bizness”, Mārtiņš Čakste says that he is learning to live for the present, appreciating every moment and what has already been achieved. Family, sports and weekends in the countryside are important to him, because nature heals and brings you back into balance.
In the future, he wants to see Latvia as a leader in green energy production with subsequent industrial growth.
“Delfi Bizness” already announced that in 2022 the revenues of the “Latvenergo” group reached 1842.0 million euros, while the profit – 183.4 million euros, thus the expected amount of dividends to be paid in 2023 is around 129.5 million euros.
