Emollients will be able to restart their work if they comply with the safety and health protocols given by the Executive to avoid more cases of contagion due to COVID-19, assured this Wednesday the Ministry of Production (Produce).
According to José Salardí, the deputy minister of MYPE and Industry, the restart of work will be only for formal and registered emollients by local authorities at the national level.
However, he maintained that this measure will not apply to the regions of Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Áncash, where mandatory social isolation is still maintained due to the rise of cases by COVID-19.
“The emollients are ready to progressively return, but to do so they must implement their protocols. Now that economic activities are reactivating, there is a greater flow and transit of people, which means that this sector is necessary“He asserted.
This last Tuesday, the mayor of Lima, Jorge Muñoz, participated in the presentation of the protocols of the emolienteros, confectioners and food vendors of Cercado de Lima. Given this, Salardí highlighted the action of the burgomaster.
“Vendors and helpers are wearing gloves, masks, rompers, and face shields. They also have gel or alcohol for their clients and a transparent protective barrier to prevent possible COVID-19 infections. They are very well prepared“He detailed.
