PHC in Vascular Medicine at Montpellier University Hospital (Hérault)

The Vascular Medicine department of Montpellier University Hospital is offering a full-time Contract Hospital Practitioner (PHC) position for a period of 6 months (or more) from November 2022.
Internist or general practitioner profile with experience in general medicine.

Conventional hospitalization activity with Vascular and Polyvalent Medicine orientation (post-emergency activity)
32 beds (reduced capacity in an epidemic context) with 1 assistant, a head of clinic and a PH for the conventional hospitalization sector. Emphasis is placed on comprehensive patient care. One to two half-days of consultation per week, supervision of interns, possibility of taking charge of patients in HDJ. Participation in service RCPs, bibliographies, etc.

Staff of the service (many activities): 1 PUPH, 4 PH, 2 CCA, 2 Assistants, 4 interns in conventional hospitalization (variable number) and doctors attached to the vascular medicine technical platform.

Various pathologies:
– Venous thromboembolic disease
– Trophic disorders with a vascular component
– Arteriopathy and complications of arteriopathy
– Lymphologie
– Anticoagulant or antiplatelet accident
– Acrosyndromes and internal medicine with a vascular orientation
– Rare vascular diseases (arterial dissections, aortitis, etc.)
– Polyvascular patients with multiple decompensations in the post-emergency setting

Possibility of specific training according to professional objectives (lymphology, vascular malformations, vascular fragility of a genetic nature, etc.). Possibility of training in vascular echo-Doppler or capillaroscopy.
