With the first Android 11 The preview of the developer that starts on the devices, we are really having an idea of everything Google is working to include in the next version of Android. However, there are some things that Google has started working on, but they are not quite visible to the average end user.
Seen deep in the Android 11 code, XDA have seen reference to a new Share battery function, which is supposed to be a reverse wireless charging function in development for the Pixel 5. The code states that “your phone’s battery will run out faster when you use the shared battery. The shared battery works with headphones, watches, phones and more compatible. “
As noted, reverse wireless charging is not specifically mentioned, but that seems to be what is implied. The same is currently happening on selected Samsung devices, where users can share the juice wirelessly, but, of course, the person who shares will run out of battery faster.
Reverse Pixel 5 wirelessly charging a couple of new Pixel Buds? That could be great.
