Planview Announces Strategic Acquisition of Tasktop

These technology pioneers combine to enable business transformations to be faster, more efficient, and carried out with greater confidence and impact

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Planview, a global leader in portfolio management and labor management, today announced that the company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tasktop, leading pioneering company in the field of value stream management (VSM). Based in Vancouver, Canada, Tasktop has more than 200 employees, and posted record growth in fiscal 2021, with a 43% year-over-year increase in user numbers.

“As companies strive to differentiate, survive, thrive and disrupt their markets, we are seeing an increase in digitization and transformation initiatives. “Combining Planview’s leadership in agile and strategic enterprise portfolio management with Tasktop’s in VSM is a game-changing combination that extends the capabilities and value proposition that we can offer customers. Complementary offerings from Tasktop and Planview will more effectively enable customers to achieve their digital transformation – accelerating the pace at which they can transform and achieve competitive advantages through technology,” said Mik Kersten, Founder and Chief Executive Officer. from Tasktop. “Tasktop and Planview have worked together for over eight years, and we are very excited to take this next step in our relationship, joining forces to enable every organization to become a digital innovator. »

Several leading industry analyst firms, including Forrester1, highlight the benefits of integrating Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) with VSM.
