Traffic Polda Metro Jaya is investigating a platoon or group of cyclists who allegedly crossed Jalan Sudirman, Central Jakarta, during the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) Level 3.
In fact, it is known that cyclists are still prohibited from crossing Jalan Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin during PPKM level 3 in the capital.
The incident was recorded on a videotape and circulated on social media, one of which was the @fitamineofficial Instagram account.
“Regarding the video that went viral, we are investigating a group of bicycles on our CCTV ETLE whether it happened today or whether it happened a long time ago but was uploaded today,” said Sambodo at the Polda Metro Jaya, Monday (6/9).
However, said Sambodo, if it is true that the incident occurred today, it might be carried out in the morning at around 06.00 WIB.
“But if it’s uploaded today, if you look at the weather, it’s likely that it was early in the morning, taking advantage of the carelessness of the officers before 6 o’clock on guard,” he said.
Sambodo said that if later it was known who the party who uploaded the video was, they would be summoned for questioning.
Furthermore, Sambodo said that in the future the members on duty would be alerted earlier, to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
“Of course one of our efforts will be to place members earlier to anticipate the users bike to sport, “he said.
