Alec Baldwin was arrested on Friday for assaulting someone after beating someone in a dispute over a parking lot in New York City.
A spokeswoman for the New York City Police Department said the arrest happened just before 2:00 pm and the charges are still pending. Baldwin agents did not immediately return the request from the post office.
Baldwin had been struggling with the law before. In 2014, he was arrested in New York, calling for irregular behavior after going in the wrong direction. It came during a two-day crackdown on road deaths, and police said Baldwin "became belligerent and quarrelsome with the officers" at the time.
The actor then tweeted the arrested officer's name and badge number, calling New York City "a poorly managed carnival of stupidity desperate for revenue and seeking to criminalize the behavior that was once considered benign."
Baldwin was largely back in the limelight as he was President Trump's turn on Saturday Night Live. His identity as Trump has upset the President so much that Trump has expressed his displeasure – which could be normal for Trump, but a break from previous goals of the SNL presidential parody.
"I was just trying to watch Saturday Night Live – unsurpassed!" Tweeted Trump in December 2016. "Completely biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonator just can not get any worse. Sad."
"Release your tax returns and I'll stop," Baldwin answered. "Ha."
