Police: Suspect turns after the deadly shots at the Little Rock apartment complex

The suspect of a murder on Saturday afternoon in an apartment complex in Little Rock has gotten in the mood.

Authorities say Jermaine Brown, 26, turned on a Saturday night after a shooting that killed Alvin Walls, Jr., 23, in front of the Spanish Jon Apartments.

During the first call of 911, Brown told the police that he was in the parking lot of the apartment complex when a vehicle blocked him and started firing at him. Brown said he had returned fire and someone shot him.

LRPD said that shortly after the shootout they received a phone call saying Walls had been hospitalized with several gunshot wounds, but had died from his injuries.

The apartment complex has several surveillance cameras.

Lt. Ford says they've contacted real estate managers to check the material to see if the incident has been recorded.

By Monday morning, Brown had been released from custody, and the charges are under investigation, according to the report.
