Policeman prays with boy fight tumor before brain operation

"Lord, right now we are praying for Jalen, Lord God, to heal his body, Lord God, heal him from things that are hindering him, Lord Jesus …"

The 9-year-old got ready for the fight of his life when officials from the Warner Robins Police Department arrived.

Jalen Manns was diagnosed with a brain tumor in May, his mother Hannah Manns said. On Friday morning, he was heading for his biopsy at Navicent Health when the police knocked on his door.

They had heard that Jalen's favorite animal was a German shepherd.

The officers had presents, including a T-shirt with a German shepherd and Jalen's name and a stuffed animal – a German shepherd.

The officers escorted the boy outside, where he alternately hit each K-9.

Then, before the officers took the boy to the hospital, one of them fell to his knees and with one on Jalen and the other on his K-9, he began to pray.

"Lord, Heavenly Father, we are coming to you, Lord God, God, ask for your words of encouragement and strength, Lord God, Lord, we know that it is your will and it is your divine intervention that makes this day possible Doctors have done on the spot, Mr. God.

Lord, be with them in the operating room, Lord God. Lead her hands, Lord, God. "

His voice breaks with emotion, the officer continues to pray for God to heal Jalen, protect his family and give them strength.

It was exactly what Jalen needed, his mother said.

"The police and the K9 unit have absolutely made their morning! Prayer has definitely put the icing on the cake," said Hannah Manns.

Warner Robins Police wrote about the encounter on their Facebook page and wrote: "We are Team Jalen! Our positive thoughts and prayers today are with Jalen as he defeats a major operation! We are with you mate and can not wait for you kicking Join our team in a few years! Thank you for inviting us to your home this morning! You have it! # WRPDstrong # JalensGuardDogs # K9sOfWRPD "

The family has created a Facebook page – Team Jalen – to document Jalens fight with the tumor. They also set up a GoFundMe account to help with their medical bills. Click here for donation information.
