Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a court hearing appealed to the current head of state, Vladimir Zelensky and Attorney General Irina Venediktova, asking them to put themselves in jail. “Swung over – hit, no need to postpone,” – advised Poroshenko.
The ex-president noted that if the current authorities have something to judge him for, then let them judge, if not, then let them apologize. Also during the meeting, the prosecutor asked the court to release Poroshenko under a personal obligation. That is, Poroshenko in the case of a call to the court should come immediately. He will also be required to hand over his passport to the investigator and refuse to communicate with other suspects.
Meanwhile, under the windows of the court rallies of supporters of Poroshenko. Their slogans and words are heard in the courtroom.
Now Poroshenko is suspected of pressure in 2018 on the head of the SBU to appoint Sergey Semochko as his deputy. Poroshenko called the charges “nonsense,” and his lawyers once again point out the political nature of the criminal case. Poroshenko himself has repeatedly failed to appear at interrogations at the State Bureau, where several cases have been instituted, the former leader of the country could become a possible defendant.
