The people interviewed by the Estonian newspaper “Postimees” unanimously confirmed: the prices in stores have clearly increased. And very often prices are increased without the consumer noticing it at all. For example, one of the interviewees told about his last visit to the store: two cheeses from the same manufacturer were placed next to each other – one package weighed 300 grams, and the other weighed 500 grams. At first, I wanted to buy the biggest package to save money, but then I looked at the price per kilogram – it turned out that cheese in a 300-gram package costs less per kilogram than cheese in a 500-gram package.
Something strange also happens with the packages – they tend to “shrink”, at the same time, the same cannot be said about the price of the product in question.
