Provision for nature: Merkur Versicherung becomes a partner in the BioBienenApfel social project

Thanks (OTS) An intact environment is the basis for a healthy and self-determined life. In an effort to focus on this human need, Merkur Versicherung becomes a partner in the BioBienenApfel social project. The aim of the partnership is to raise awareness of the need for biodiversity and to inspire people to protect nature. Under the motto “History with a future”, Austria’s longest-established insurance company is opening the next chapter on the subject of sustainability and is campaigning for the creation of new habitats for bees.

Merkur Versicherung and Frutura fruit and vegetables are two leading Styrian companies that are now working together to protect bees and preserve biodiversity in the BioBienenApfel social project, which was started by Frutura owner Manfred Hohensinner in April 2021. This initiative is primarily about creating new habitats for bees, but also about providing people with a sustainable supply of regional fruit and vegetables and protecting the climate through needs-based production in the region. The interaction of a future-oriented and preventive lifestyle on a small and large scale – as the connection between man and nature – makes the partnership between Merkur Versicherung and BioBienenApfel unique.
