PSG successfully passed their Nîmes test and came out on top

Paris Saint-Germain handball, carried by an excellent Vincent Gérard in the cage, preserved its invincibility by winning Saturday in Nîmes (32-25) during the 5th day of Starligue and came away at the top of the standings. With this fifth success, the seven-time defending French champion takes two steps ahead of his runner-up from Nîmes. The Gard formation were the only other undefeated team until their defeat in their Parnassus hall in front of the Parisian armada.

Jostled for nearly forty minutes, PSG stacked seven consecutive goals (28-20) to take cover. Like his vis-à-vis Gérard (17 saves), Nîmes goalkeeper Remi Desbonnet multiplied the parades (18) but the Parisians were able to be more opportunistic than their Languedoc rivals in attack. Left winger Mathieu Grébille and left-back Elohim Prandi, authors of 4 goals each, weighed in at the end of the match. Only downside, the exit on injury of Luka Karabatic, twenty minutes before the end of the game.
