Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad were arrested on video mocking Donald Trump.
At a recent summit in Damascus, the leaders were discussed by US president and using a biblical reference to his personality.
During a visit to the Greek Orthodox church, the pair discussed the biblical story of Saul's transition to Christianity on the road to Damascus.
It is said that God met Saul, a Pharisee who persecuted Christians, blind, before the apostle was healed in the future and changed to the new faith.
In the video, launched by a Russian journalist to Twitter, he said: “If Trump travels on this road, he would decide it.”

The leaders are seen to be laughing at the clip.
Mr Putin urges his host to invite the US President, adding: “It will come.”
“I'm ready,” said Mr Assad, who Mr Putin answers to him: “I'll tell him”.
A Russian president visited Syria for a summit last week to discuss the military situation there, said the Kremlin.
Moscow is the strongest reserve of the Assad regime in the Syrian civil war and the campaign against Isis.
