Qualcomm unveiled, through the MWC conference in Barcelona, its new processor, Snapdragon 888 Plus – Snapdragon 888 Plus.

The processor comes with higher and more advanced capabilities than its predecessor, Snapdragon 888 – Snapdragon 888, which was launched on December 31.

According to The Verge, the new processor is made with a 5nm architecture and features an eight-core CPU, including a Cortex-X1 core at 1.995 GHz instead of 2.84 GHz in the Snapdragon 888, meaning that the new core is 5% faster.

The processor includes a triple Cortex-A78 CPU clocked at 2.42 GHz, and 4 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.

Unusually, Qualcomm has not made any improvements to the graphics processor as it did in previous years, so the new processor will be supported by an Adreno 660 GPU at 840 MHz like the Snapdragon 888.

The new processor comes with an upgrade in artificial intelligence performance, as the processor performs one trillion operations per second, and it is compatible with LPDDR5 random access memory at a speed of 3200 MHz.

According to the company, the image processing unit can process images from three different sensors simultaneously, which means that the processor supports capturing 4K video clips and 64MP still photos, and supports recording K8 videos at 30 frames per second.

The processor comes with a Snapdragon X60 5G modem that supports mmWave networks, 6 GHz networks, and 5G networks, and can reach download speeds of up to 7.5 gigabytes per second, and upload speeds of 3 gigabytes per second.
