Additional IGP M Khurshid Hossain, Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), said that the shadow of international conspiracy has fallen on RAB. No matter how many conspiracies, no one can stop us. RAB is ready to deal with any situation.
He said this at a function organized on the occasion of RAB’s 19th founding anniversary at Bangabandhu International Convention Center in Sherebangla Nagar of the capital on Tuesday (March 21) night.
The RAB chief said, ‘After I joined as director general, the campaign started in the hilly areas. We all know that the conspiracy has started, if it is implemented, big things could have happened. Could see another Holy Artisan. However, due to RAB’s prudence and action, it was possible to stop it. But we have been able to suppress it collectively with various law enforcement agencies and various agencies of the government. We believe that we will be able to deal with any conspiracy in the future.’
He said, ‘RAB is a symbol of terror to all criminals including drug, arms dealers and terrorists. Meanwhile RAB has become a symbol of people’s trust and love. Every member of RAB is prepared to face any situation. We are proud of the RAB members who were martyred.’
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Shahriar Alam, Senior Secretary of Public Security Department of Ministry of Home Affairs. Aminul Islam Khan, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun along with Ministers, Members of Parliament, RAB and senior police officers were present.
