Radcliffe is not ready to play Harry Potter again

“It’s not something I’m interested in doing right now,” the British actor said in an interview with the New York Times.

The question arose in the wake of Chris Columbus, who has directed two of the Harry Potter films, recently saying that he would like to film the play “Harry Potter and the Child’s Curse”. This is a two-part play, written by Jack Thorne, John Tiffany and JK Rowling, and the curtain went up for premiere in London in 2016. Here we meet Harry Potter as an adult great-grandfather, and as a busy employee at the Ministry of Magic.

Earlier this year, Radcliffe was reunited with his acting colleagues from the films. Then he, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint both appeared in a special program about Harry Potter on HBO.

But playing Potter again is a very different thing, Radcliffe maintains.

– Going back now would be such a big life change. One should never say never, but the people in “Star Wars” waited for about 30-40 years before returning. For me, it has only been ten, he says to the New York Times.
