Real Madrid have again enjoyed success after five games without a win in the Spanish football league. The troubled record champion of interim coach Santiago Solari prevailed on Saturday against Real Valladolid 2-0 and maintained contact with the leading group. The goals for the Royal against the promoted scored Kiko Olivas (83.) with an own goal and Sergio Ramos (88./Elfer).

Already in the afternoon, Atletico Madrid did not go beyond 1-1 (0-0) at CD Leganes. Madrid's French World Champion Antoine Griezmann put the Europa League winner ahead in the 69th minute when Guido Carrillo (82 ') equalized. League leaders FC Barcelona played in the evening game with latecomer Rayo Vallecano.

Atletico Madrid had previously missed the at least temporary jump to the top of the table. The "Colchoneros" did not qualify for a 1-1 draw with Latecomers Leganes on Saturday for the opening round of the 11th round. Offensive star Antoine Griezmann (69.) shot the previous fourth place in the lead, Guido Carrillo (84) equalized for the hosts but still. As a result, Atletico (20 points) provisionally improved to second place. League leaders FC Barcelona (20) face Rayo Vallecano on Saturday night.
